Well you know the saying ‘When Hell Freezes Over”, how about when Paradise Freeze Over. Charleston, SC – as close to paradise as I can get normally has mild winters with a few cold nights but mostly sunny warm days has capped the season of strange weather with a full blown snowstorm. The snow started around 8pm on Friday night and continued most of the night ending before daybreak. When I woke on Saturday morning around 5am there was about 3-inches on the ground and everything was covered with snow. I knew it wouldn’t last as daytime temperatures were predicted to go into the 50′s, so I rushed out and shot as much as I could before it became one ugly slush pile. The snow didn’t break the record set in 1989, but it was the first significant one since then and certainly the first in my 5-years living in Charleston, SC. Here are a few of my pictures.
